Sports at Lawrence

We believe in nurturing not only academic excellence but also sporting talent. With dedicated coaches, regular training sessions, and participation in inter-school tournaments at all levels, our students have consistently brought laurels to the school. Students are trained to build stamina, agility, and coordination in both team and individual formats.

The games played are football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, skating, chess, kabaddi, taekwondo, and Kho Kho.

Music

At Lawrence High School our Western Vocal Curriculum nurtures every student’s musical journey from foundational vocal play to advanced performance technique. Tailored for each age group, our program develops strong vocal habits, artistic expression, and stage presence through fun, structured, and inspiring lessons.

Dance

Bharatanatyam classes focus on learning this South Indian classical dance form, which combines intricate footwork, hand gestures (mudras), facial expressions, and expressive movements to learn our culture that improves concentration and good posture.

Classes typically begin with basic exercises (adavus) and gradually progress to more complex sequences, incorporating elements of pure dance (nritta), expressive dance (nritya), and dramatic dance (natya).

Art

Students with essential Art education from Grades 1 to 10. Aligned with NEP 2020 and ICSE standards, our curriculum covers drawing, painting, folk art, design, craft, art appreciation, and creative expression. Students develop imagination, confidence, and artistic skills that connect classroom learning to cultural and real-life experiences.

Drama

Theatre and Puppetry is taught by faculties from the well known hobby learning platform - Nayi Taleem, with expertise from the world of theatre. Their curriculum aims at developing "Drama enabled classrooms" and integrating art into the mainstream curriculum.

Pottery

The pottery classes are divided into different levels. It enhances creativity, improves fine motor skills and provides an experience that contributes to overall well-being.

Storytelling & Karadi Path

The storytelling classes focus on bridging the gap between fun & information. The sessions are structured to nurture listening skills, facilitate reading habits, foster emotional & language development and to create ethical, social, and environmental awareness among children.

Communication Skills

Communication skills form the foundation for effective learning and leadership. Through debates, group discussions, public speaking, and interactive sessions, students develop confidence and clarity in expressing their ideas.

Model United Nations (MUN)

MUN, an academic simulation, is an integral part of our curriculum. Students from Grade 4 to 10 are encouraged to research various political issues and decisions, debate on the assigned topics and draft resolutions. This approach builds the confidence of students and they become aware and confident public speakers.

Assembly

Morning assemblies are vibrant, theme-based public speaking sessions that ignite curiosity and nurture confidence. Assemblies explore diverse topics engaging students to promote awareness, communication, and speak on stage, empowering our students to become confident, well-informed individuals.

Show & Tell

Show & Tell sessions encourage young learners to bring objects and share stories, fostering creativity, confidence, and communication skills while making learning enjoyable and interactive.

Field Trips and Fun Trips

Field trips and fun trips provide hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom. These experiences expose students to real-world contexts, expand their knowledge, and create cherished memories while reinforcing classroom learning.
